I was a little curious as to what Starlee Kine was going to do for her issue of “object based publication”, The Thing. Anytime I’ve seen her read live or listened to her on This American Life, I’ve always thought to myself, “gee, that Starlee Kine is really creative and funny. I wonder what she’ll do next?”
Today I got my answer, and it’s titled “Crying Instructions“: a bamboo cutting board designed only for onion cutting, a poster of McNulty from The Wire, and a set of instructions on, you guessed it, how to cry, all written by Ms. Kine.
