About tresnick

A Conservative Jew by choice, who wouldn't mind a mechitza every once in while...because sometimes I find guys distracting while I'm trying to daven.

I work in Center City in Public Health fighting infectious disease and slowly making my way towards medical school.  I live in West Philadelphia with three cats, a porch, backyard and pot-smoking neighbors.

My favorite book is Ex Libris by Anne Fadiman.  It's a book of essays about books.  My favorite line from one of the essays "When Disraeli was asked the difference between a misfortune and a calamity, he stated, 'If Gladstone were to fall into the Thames, it would be a misfortune.  If someone were to pull him out, it would be a calamity!'"
