I'm an undergraduate student at McGill University studying Jewish Studies and Philosophy, with the goal of attending HUC-JIR's Rabbinic program a few years after I graduate in 2009. I'm committed to practicing and improving Reform Judaism, I love pluralist indie minyanim, and I use Oxford commas in my writing. I play a lot of guitar and I love to sing, and I'm finally broadening my repertoire beyond the Reform songleader's staples into secular folk music: Dylan, Ochs, The Band, and the like. I appreciate good ales and I refuse to drink shitty American lagers. I've recently found that I enjoy cooking and not dressing like a slob (though that's started to get a little expensive). I keep a David Ben-Gurion doll on my desk.
I also keep a running scorecard of whether New York or Montreal Jewish traditions are better. Bagels go to New York. Montreal smoked meat is worlds more delicious that NY pastrami.
