About Naomi Demby
Many consider me "everybody's Jewish mother". On the other hand, many consider me everybody's Jewish "mutha". Take your pick, as I'm both and then some. The truth is that I will not be defined. I am a loving wife , mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother--all those potentially stereotypical things. Whether those catchwords define me would stifle my essence, however,. so let's just call me a free spirit who tries to live her life according to the concept of "tikkun olam"--that we are all obligated to try to heal the ills of the world. I am a poet, thinker, reader, musician, Yiddishist, active Democrat, animal lover (particularly parrots), feminist, and all-around opinionated big mouth. Obviously, I'm a schmoozer and, like my parrots, I won't shut up.
