POLISH JEWISH MIGRATION TO COLOMBIA

during the 1930 to 1940 came to colombia immigrants from Europe, people from Germany and Polish Jews like my grandfather
thought to come to a better place to find no hatred, in colombia that time
the government was nationalist and racist, there was no place for
immigrants in the country's coffee, and the few who managed to enter
the country were victims of xenophobic hatred.
Many of these immigrants had to live under very adverse conditions.
could be heard phrases like "these Polish Jews come to our country to take away our business"
My grandfather suffered a lot with the news about his family in germany.
Many of these immigrants were selling things on the street, the Jewish
genius for business began to revive in the new continent.
hatred towards the new traders could not stop the love and passion with which our grandparents were working.
they won a high place in society.
today after a long time...
