About Barbara Reader

I'm probably the age of the parents of most of the posters here.   I am a New York Trusts and Estates lawyer, and former Federal Reserve Junior Economist.   I have spent time in Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox congregations, and see benefits to each movement.  I also looked into Reconstructionism, but rejected it.   I think four letter words and foul language are an excuse to avoid thinking and communication.  I think the worst antisemetism American Jews suffer today is that which we heep on one another, be it sectarian or sexual. We'd do a lot better if we tried to work on what is positive, and spent less time attacking one another.

Jews for Judaism is just a group that confronts missionaries and converts out.  I have to say that opposition to it has to sit in one of two places... either you are a Christian (perhaps a Jew for Jesus?) who feels it is stopping Jews from becoming ...
