Currently reading:
I spend money in bookstores like a drunken sailor on shore leave, but I do have a few forever favorites - Leaves of Grass, The Collected Poems of Langston Hughes, In the Skin of a Lion, The Cloud of Unknowing. I Love reading books for knowledge and Understanding...Caselaw mostly...upkeep .. and Probate (Estate Law) blah blah...blah...One of my favorites that I seem to re-read is "The Narrow Corner" by W.Somerset Maugham...a must...and "Dialogues of Plato"..the complete works..Apology, Crito, Phaedo and Symposium with the most famous of them all "The Republic"....Autobiographies and non fictional move me, not into much else...at the moment I am reading Viktor Frankl's book, "Man's search for Meaning"...I recommend this as a powerful insight into human suffering and how hope can be a factor in changing our lives for the better......a book that will transform your life...or at least have you re-thinking your purpose...or not?

I can't imagine the world without it. I enjoy (all too seldom) well-written and well-played music that takes me on a journey, integrating right and left brain, where you can scratch the surface and not fall through. Showtunes are great. I also have a weakness for "classic rock" and the pop music of the 1980s, and (ultimate guilty pleasure) I am man enough to admit that I never stopped liking disco! Just don't ask me to dance to it, the results would not be pretty. The Band, Bob Dylan, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, Albert and BB King, Robbie Williams, Coldplay, John Legend, Carl Thomas, Jazz, Instrumentals, and too many others to mention...BUT THE ONLY BAND THAT MATTERS.....Ladies and Gentlemen....THE CLASH! 2Pac and Chuck D, Mos Def and Jay-Z... Some of my favorites: The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, John Hiatt, Train, BoDeans, Ray LaMontagne, Joan Osborne, David Gray, Sarah McLachlan, Indigo Girls, Shawn Mullins, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, Norah Jones, Lyle Lovett, Dave Matthews, Paul Simon, Melissa Ethridge, Matchbox Twenty, Natalie Merchant, John Mayer, Aretha Franklin, Blues Traveler, Al Green, Jamie Cullum, John Fogerty, Mark Knopfler, Tracy Chapman, Los Lonely Boys, Neil Young, CSN, R.E.M., Pearl Jam, U2, Alison Krauss, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, George Jones and Strait, Alan Jackson (One of the Best Song Writers in Music....Yo-Yo Ma and Mark O'Connor...
