Mark Cohen has his Jewish obsessions, from Saul Bellow to Allan Sherman, and has written about them mainly in academic journals (American Jewish History, Saul Bellow Journal, Modern Judaism, Journal of Jewish Studies, Midstream). Other stuff has appeared in History of Photography, Turkish Studies Bulletin, and ZYZZYVA. He is the author of a history, Last Century of a Sephardic Community: The Jews of Monastir, 1839-1943. In attempt to enter the 1990s, he recently wrote an article for the Jewish web publication zeek.net.
