My status and orientation, though answered herein, are irrelevant to why I am registering for this site.  I am not looking to commit adultery.  NOT. Get it ?

 What I am looking for is for people to read what I write, about Jewish and Yiddish matters, and my wider interests in NYC history.  Take a look at my main blog:

In it you will find many articles about the above matters. I am fluent in Yiddish (and English, lol) having learned the former in school.  I am not observant.  But very Jewish.  I wander around NYC nabes and areas a great deal and write extensively on same.  Take a look at "Into the Promised Land" on my blog if you want a shmek un a lek of what I observe.  It's not whimsical stuff, though in places funny.  Most of it is serious thought: nothing about my breakfast or bodily functions, other than my brain's.  Yiddish (and now Hebrew, after 50-some years of mouthing t'files that I didn't understand) light up my life.  I can't explain why.  I keep on trying.
