Tokio Hotel: wearing their hearts on their sleeves and their skulls on their t-shirtsEver feel like you just can’t fully appreciate the Song of
Songs until you can read and understand it in Hebrew? Well, according
to German-translating friend of Jewcy Jewlicious, an article
that ran in the Jüdische Allgemeine
recently reports that young Israeli girls feel the same way about their new
favorite band, Tokio Hotel.
Apparently, the teens are OMG-ing so much over the German emo-popsters
and their trademark guyliner demand for German language instruction in Israeli schools has vastly increased.
Tokio Hotel first gained mega popularity in Israel last
year, spending months at the top of the Israeli music charts. After the dedicated efforts of their
young, Israeli fanbase (including extensive petition campaigns
to the Israeli embassy in Berlin), Tokio Hotel played its first concert at the Israel Trade Fairs and
Convention Center in October of last year. <!--[endif]-->
“The fact that our Israeli fans are singing our German lyrics shows how music can connect people emotionally. There are no prejudices, no boundaries or barriers,” says the feathered-haired teen heartthrob lead singer Bill Kaulitz. And that’s great. Except we sort of agree with Jewlicious that Israeli teens might have rather found their great passion for German language and culture in something other than the High School Musical of German emo.

Good day my lads
What can be my first blog entry in a) english and b) at this site? Maybe about religion? Or music? Maybe philosphy, I don't know yet. I hope i can "join the conversation" here, although I am from Germany and an Atheist or Protestant (not sure yet, both sides have their points). I'm sure I'll write something really philosophically and depp and all that another time around, but I'm pretty exhausted. My first comment here took every little bit of english I got for today, so please just ignore my mistakes here.

German film producer Dani Levy is pulling a Mel Brooks. On January 11, his film, a comedy entitled, "Mein Führer: The Truly Truest Truth About Adolf Hitler" will be released in Germany. The fictitious comedy follows Hitler's descent in 1944 and subsequent last-ditch effort to hold his position of power by hiring a Jew to instruct him in public speaking.
Showcasing the trademark Jewish subversive comic relief:
Scenes of Hitler training his German shepherd dog to do "Heil Hitler" salutes or lying in the bath playing with a toy warship.
During therapy, Hitler wears a yellow tracksuit and reveals he is insecure, impotent and a bed-wetter.
The question remains: Is this "light-hearted" comedy charged and original enough to get people talking in a constructive manner or in such poor taste that people react negatively. Levy's mother, herself a Holocaust survivor, had this to say to her son, "Don't come complaining to me if the critics maul you.''
I guess sometimes mother really does know best.

The autoblog Jalopnik uncovered the hidden truth behind the design of the world-class BMW racing car that was manufactured in 1936. Originally the 328 line was attributed to an Aryan someone who wasn't even hired by Motorwerks till after the line was released. But it's now been confirmed that Kurt Joachimson, the car's designer, was Jewish.
According to Jalopnik:
The gorgeous 328 was in fact designed by Kurt Joachimson, a Hebrew brother from another mother who had created the first sporting BMW, the 315/1 Roadster.
