Ann Coulter Invokes Hitler on 'The View' |

Ann Coulter, that perfect storm of provocative irrelevance, appeared today on The View to shill her latest book, "Guilty." During the "Hot Topics" segment of the show, before Ann came out for her interview, several of the show's cohosts criticized a section of Coulter's book which criticizes single mothers, particularly famous actresses who become single mothers to, in Coulter's opinion, further their own careers. Cohost Whoopi Goldberg, who raised her daughter as a single mother, took offense with Coulter's arguments.
When Coulter came out a few minutes later, she derailed a conversation about other topics in her book (namely, her criticism of people like Barack Obama and Halle Berry for embracing their African-American sides instead of the race of their white mothers) by referring to the "Hot Topics" discussion of her book. "I have never heard my book read aloud like you're reading Mein Kampf," she sniffed. Sadly, Barbara Walters did not reach across the table and throttle Coulter at that second.
A full clip of the Mein Kampf reference is available at Jezebel.com. What do you think: valid complaint, or blatant cry for attention?
Donald Trump, Rosie O'Donnell, & Barbara Walters In A 3-Way |

In my cattier moments, I enjoy nothing better than the bickering that ensues on The View. With Star Jones gone and Rosie in the hotseat, the infighting is as satisfying as ever. And while watching Elizabeth Hasslebeck's plastic bob of a head ready to implode as she speaks in her maniacal, I shouldn't have mixed laxatives with my uppers this AM tone is almost comparable to witnessing Rachael Ray speedtalk thru lines on her new talk show, the heated tension between Barbara Walters and Rosie O'Donnell, two Alphas fighting to gain control of a falling empire, is downright hysterical.
The latest slugfest involves Donald Trump, who consequently picked another fight with Martha Stewart last year as ratings for his show took a dive. In another last-ditch attempt to publicize his tanking show, it looks like Donald is up to his old tricks this season, since the premiere of his show debuted #3 in the ratings last week.
The lowdown of the exchange reads like this: Donald publicly announces that Barbara Walters trash-talked Rosie to him, with lines like "working with [Rosie] is like living in hell," "Donald, never get into the mud with pigs" and last, but not least a final "don't worry, she won't be here long."
Barbara's reponse to Donald's tell-all letter was a let's move on approach, per her AM discourse with Rosie, in which they attempt to show all viewers that everything is once again copacetic:
Rosie: Well, he's at it again! (huge laugh from audience) How 'bout that, Barabara. You okay Barbara?Baba: I'm okay, darling. You okay?
Rosie: I'm okay, too. We're both okay?
Baba: Okay. You know--
Elisabeth Hasselback (unsolicited): Okay.
Rosie: What can you say about that guy?
Baba (pause, for effect): That poor, pathetic man.
(Audience goes nuts. Baba and Rosie high-five.)
So now Trump hates Barbara and Rosie isn't experiencing the type of typical female bonding, say the gals of E's The Girls Next Door engage in. I feel no sympathy for Rosie. She's a dyke. She should have known better than to sign on with ABC.
Gratuitous Apocalypto Pimping |

A few week's short of the New Year, the AP released their annual entertainment "Quotes of The Year." Topping this year's list were talk show yentas Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey. Barbara also deserves recognition for best failed attempt to take down a "biggot" and "anti-semite" (re: Mel's infamous post-DUI-I'm-now-sober-and-have-consulted-a-Jewish lawyer quote, which also made the list).
Walter's exact words were:
I don't think I want to see any more Mel Gibson movies.
Judging from the box office success of Apocalypto, I'm not sure everyone in the U.S. shared this sentiment. Incidentally, Michael Richards' post-racist-rant stand-up apology, in which he assured us all that he wasn't a "racist" also made the list.
