YouTube Yahoos: Mitt Romney, Ebonics Speaker

By Marty Beckerman / January 23, 2008

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney interacted with black voters on MLK Day, and showed the world what happens when an obtuse white multimillionaire tries to sound hip for the "urban" kids, quoting lyrics from "Who Let the Dogs Out?" and referring to a child's "bling bling."

When will these pandering phonies ever learn? Stop trying to condescend to people and act "cool", and just speak like a normal person! You're running for President  – what should be serious and important job – the last thing on your mind should be trying to appear "hip" and "cool".

In a race full of transparent phonies on both sides of the isle, Romney and  John "Empty-Suit" Edwards are in a class of their own.

Wow, after reading about this, seeing it is even somehow worse than I imagined.

That said, amongst everything, I think my favorite part is that Romney said, "What's happenin'?" as if a staffer had briefed him on African-American culture by showing him repeats of the crazy antics of Rog, Rerun, Dwayne and Dee.

"Nice to meet you Governor Romney…"

"And which Doobie, do you be? Bwaaaa!"
