Why Sugar Can Be So Hard To Digest

Sugar packets produced in Croatia baring the disturbing image of Hitler's face next to an anti-semitic joke are being investigated by the local police and questioned by the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Jerusalem. Additionally, the Center's Director Efraim Zuroff is urging the factory to halt production of the packets.

So what were the incendiary words that made this joke so distasteful?

The joke translates as follows:

Hitler comes to the Jews and says, “I’ll play you a record!”

Jews: “Which one?”

Hitler: “Concrete!!!” Get it? Concrete! Get it?

Apparently the joke is less senseless (though perhaps equally unfunny) when you come to realize that in Croatian, the word ‘record’ is translated as ‘ploca’, which is ambiguous between ‘record’ and ‘tablet’, the latter apparently being synonymous with tombstone.
