Zogby's been so wrong in the past it's not even funny. Wasn't he the one who predicted a John Kerry landslide?

 In any event, I love the comment, "Lindsay Lohan and Brittney Spears are not sources of Political knowledge, let alone even a source of entertainment," as if the former was a prerequisite of the latter. 

Now that's entertaining.  

I especially liked the way he used Limbaugh and Hannity to prove his superiority. Anyone else feeling the amber waves of irony?

With my BS filter on it takes a while to get to something that is worth reading... While this is mildly entertaining the political reality is that the economy is in a frickin mess.  Why?  Well you can start talking about Wall Street greed and how the bankers created loan products designed to implode on the borrower 5-7 years after they start them (You can start with 3% for 2 years and then it goes up .5% per year for the next 7 with a cap at 9% - Your income's gonna go up over the next years - right??? so step up and buy that mansion of your dreams!!) and you can blame in part the borrower who didn't figure it out or was overly optimistic.. But as they said in Field of Dreams "Build it and they will come" so they did and now they got foreclosures up their ass and their reserves falling into the pit of insolvency. So instead of blaming the banks and borrowers why don't we just admit that human nature is such that in a pure "free market" system you're going to make money any way you can - cuz makin money's your goal right? And if you're a consumer unless you have some pretty good anti-commericial street sense, you're probably a materialistic sheep so you will want more than perhaps your ready to attend.  In other words - it's nature baby.

So whose fault is the current crisis?  Well Bill Clinton did partially deregulate the banks at the end of his presidency. But the economy was doing great then - The U.S. had a budget surplus and deregulation made sense.  But then came the era of Bush.  SUPER SPENDER -  in Iraq right  ($500 B now $3T later) How he can claim the dems are the "big spenders"?! give me a break.  He's the one the put the country in the hole its in with regard to the deficit.  But that didn't cause the Wall Street failure. It messes things up overall. Bit it was the banks.  They followed their "nature" and went crazy - Subprime loans, no interest loand, loans to known risky borrowers etc.  While they made these loans no paper it looked like the banks were going to make tons of money.  And they did - especially the top execs who totally raked it in.  But now that the bottom fell out they are screwed and who is there to pick up the pieces?  Well if  you pay taxes it's you.  

For McCain to say the economy was caused by governement big spender shows how little he knows.  But assuming it is big government spending then he should have been opposed to Bush's spending all along. But he almost always on BILLS HE VOTED FOR AGREED WITH BUSH... and the country is now s-c-r-e-w-e-d..   Look through the history of Bush's life - Everything he touched turned to crap before he was done.   McCain is just like Bush, but not in the sense of "the guy I'd like to have a beer with"  but more in the sense of Kill em all...  or rather F-U .. Just look at the way he was in the debates.   He didn't have the decency to even look at Obama.  He was contemptuous the whole night.  If this is the way he is with a fellow senator from his same country how will he be with foreign leaders?  Ans:  the same.  Result - Well let's just say no one like to be treated with contempt.   Vote for the dems.  yeah yeah yeah  for a change...  

Silverman is just another overpaid, no-talent celebratie shooting off her mouth!

But Sarah Palin will be good for the Jews! She might even rise to mediocrity in her debate, according to David Brooks.

Why, it's almost as if the voting public doesn't actually vote for X or Y candidate just because someone on TV or in the movies tells them to do it. It might even explain why George Bush won two elections, even though nobody she knows voted for him.

Thank you so much, RW, for kindly reminding us that celebrity endorsements don't tend to sway elections one way or another. Now go back to the Recht-Wing Drawing Board of being uberly concerned that they still have the right to simply express their opinion or that they have the gall to produce a funny skit regarding that opinion, and that others actually found it entertaining.

I never so much as implied that the entertainment industry's rich and famous don't have a right (or even an obligation!) to air their opinions. What I am saying, however, that their perceived ability to influence anyone outside their own social circle is practically non-existent ... outside their own minds. Nobody is going to vote for Barack Obama because Sarah Silverman told them to.

 If you're feeling butthurt, however, feel free to do whatever she tells you to do.

Hi Anon.. That's strange. It sounds like you might already have a touch of something yourself, actually. Are you on Windows XP? And what browser? I do recommend making sure you're downloading all of Microsoft's Automatic Updates. You might want to consider installing Spyware Blaster (or something comparable) which does a solid job of innoculating against threats. Lastly, if you're on Firefox but haven't upgraded version 3 yet, I recommend that strongly. To quote McLovin from Superbad, it's "way better."

Why is it that every time I watch Sarah it makes me think of smelly muff?  I don't know.  Anyway, I still luv her even though I don't like smelly muff. 

Anyhoo, this whole Schlep thing is a great idea!  When it's all over and Barack wins, the whole world is gonna breathe a sigh of relief and say "Thank God for the Jews."  Somebody should start making T-shirts that say "How Jew Like Me Now" and send them DHL to Merkel on November 5.  I'm serious, if the Jews deliver Florida to Barack, I'm going to the nearest temple and donating something precious to me . . . probably money, which has become increasingly precious these days.
