Pakistan Open Thread

Just now on MSNBC, Lawrence Eagleburger counseled: "We should be reaching out to the opposition leader [in Pakistan], whose name I can't pronounce." Really? It's "Nawaz Sharif." That's not all that difficult. Can he pronounce "Omar Sharif"? If he practices enough he'll graduate to "Nawaz" one day.

Good to know we're still consulting addled Milosevic apologists on national security and foreign affairs. Was Ramsey Clark not available for comment?

Anyway, consider this a Pakistan open thread.

UPDATE: Post title changed to reflect the spirit of the enterprise; Lawrence Eagleburger remains an illiterate peasant.

    Just keep in mind that Nawaz is a soft Islamist and big fan of the fundos.
