Bridezillas, the cable reality show that could alternately be titled Crazy Bitches Getting Married and Treating Everyone Around them Like Shit, leaves no stereotypical stone unturned. For African-American brides, the show plays bad hip-hop elevator music in the background. Southern brides get a twangy faux-banjo. And now they've squeezed two bad cultural cliches into a single, horrible bride: meet Karen, who is a) Jewish and b) from Staten Island. (Those of you who watched the breathtaking True Life: I'm Getting Married might have some idea what to expect here.)
Karen relished her Bridezillaness and was so bad that her antics were stretched into three episodes. Within those episodes, she threatened to fire bridesmaids, got thrown out of her own bachelorette party for insulting the club's bouncer, announced that she didn't want any "poor people" to come to her wedding, and cussed out a vendor in Hebrew. But why should we tell you about Karen when the internet has kindly provided some evidence that you can view on your own? You might want to watch this clip through your fingers - you know, like a horror movie.
And here's the part where she flips out on the bouncer (who she keeps calling a doorman).

Entertaining, but frighteningly so. If I never resemble her in any way, it's a good thing.

does this bride self identify as jewish? is she having a jewish wedding? this woman is not typical of a jewish bride. my sympathies to the shlub who is marrying this spoiled child.

Luckily, most Americans are pluralistic enough that when they see an obnoxious Jew, they remember that there are obnoxious whites, blacks, Christians, Hindus, etc. etc. Most Americans are mature and sophisticated enough that they don't blame all Jews for the acts of one.
Unfortunately, this effectively defuses the entire religious concept of hilul hashem. Thus, we see that certain observant and Orthodox Jews, not having any moral conscience or fear of G-d whatsoever to speak of save a narcissistic (and idolatrous) desire for self-preservation, feel free to flout all standards of morality, because such floutings benefit the self and incur no backlash against the Jewish people as such.

I just watched the episode that aired on Bridezilla...and have watched many and NEVER in my life did I feel the need to want to jump in the TV screen and give someone a beating like I would have given this girl. She is RUDE,OBNOXIOUS and far from CLASSY like she has made it a point to say over and over in the episode.Money can pay for school but like in this case it sure cant buy CLASS. I hope that much of her character that was shown is not who this girl truly is cause if it is I relish the day she opens that big mouth to the wrong person.An a word of advice to her friends...grow some balls and put her in her place!!!!An last Good Luck to the man actually married her....he's going to need lots of it.

I just started reading jewcy today and I've enjoyed the intelligent writings.
As a Black man, I haven't known many Jewish guys too closely. I think this video advances the stereotype that Jewish men are weak and let the woman run them. I was watching her fiancee (I assume?) in the video, and he wasn't knocking her back down at all when she was going off. Look, I'm not saying I would have hit her if I were him, but DAMN! Are you guys that weak? Are you letting your women run off at the mouth like that without exerting control?
