MJ Rosenberg couldn't fulfill his guest editorship this week (blame yourselves for not telling him how dashing that kid from Third Rock from the Sun is), so we've had to move our schedule ahead by hiring the eminently accommodating Paul Berger. Phoned today, signed-up today. By the seat of our pants is just how we do in the blogosphere. Uh.

Apart from being the kind of Englishman in New York A.A. Gill might try in vain to work into his imported-roast-beef-and-warm-beer polemic in this month's Vanity Fair, Paul is an excellent writer currently at work on a book, more about which he can tell you himself.

British Jew expats and blogging go together like Nick Denton and Balthazar.
