A few week's short of the New Year, the AP released their annual entertainment "Quotes of The Year." Topping this year's list were talk show yentas Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey. Barbara also deserves recognition for best failed attempt to take down a "biggot" and "anti-semite" (re: Mel's infamous post-DUI-I'm-now-sober-and-have-consulted-a-Jewish lawyer quote, which also made the list).

Walter's exact words were:

I don't think I want to see any more Mel Gibson movies.

Judging from the box office success of Apocalypto, I'm not sure everyone in the U.S. shared this sentiment. Incidentally, Michael Richards' post-racist-rant stand-up apology, in which he assured us all that he wasn't a "racist" also made the list.
