While it’s still uncertain what exactly took place between the IDF and the Gaza-bound protest flotilla, we know one thing is for sure: Sarah Palin thinks that the dang mainstream media is just gonna mislead you on the whole thing, and that you should stick to real independent voices like the Washington Post’s Charles Krauthammer, and super nice guy David Horowitz.

UPDATE Jewcy.com would like to take a moment to thank the Republican Jewish Coalition for teaching us that a "slag" against Sarah Palin is a "slag" against Israel.  We had no idea the two were related.

Palin’s support for Israel is both political posturing and genuine. Posturing because she can’t help it, it’s what Sarah Palin does. C’mon, she was a scholarship pageant contestant and a TV sportscaster, whaddya expect? For me, tho’, it’s the genuine aspect that’s scary because it derives from a genuine belief that the ingathering of the Jews is a necessary prerequisite for Jesus’ second coming. The problem with this belief is that when Jesus fails to show up in a timely manner, rather than re-examining their belief system or their own actions, this type of believer frequently turns on the Jews for not “getting with the program.”  Sure, liberal American Jews can become a target, and the proximate reason will have something to do with our failure to support Israel in a manner Palin etc. approve. Of course Palin may let slip that she’s upset that we hadn’t been “flocking to Israel in the days and weeks and months ahead.” Conservatives of that particular brand of Christianity may resolve the conundrum by declaring liberal Jews and Jews in the galut are somehow not really the Chosen People, but eventually they’ll realize that even if there are politically conservative and religiously orthodox Jews living in Israel, even these Israeli Jews aren’t gonna convert to bring Jesus back. That’s when things are gonna get ugly.
