When You Post Anonymous, You Post with the Enemy

I know there is some solace in being anonymous.  It allows you to say or do what you wouldn't do in front of your grandma..perhaps.  Unless you have that special relationship with grandma that is your little secret.

The problem with the "anonymous" posting is that it allows people to act like morons without being actually able to put your finger on who that moron is.  When George Bush says something, anything...I get to to say, George Bush is a moron.  When Bill O'Reilly speaks...moron.  I can go on, but you get the point!

Allowing anonymous postings on a website is counterproductive to good discussion.  Grab a pair and add a name, profile, etc.  Granted, it doesn't mean giving your address, SSN, etc.  It means being able to recognize the author. If you think gogityershinebox is a douche', you'll know next time when you read a post from me, that I'm a douche'.  Duh!
