I figured that I would make my first blog post about something I found quite amusing, but also a little depressing.

Maybe this is the reason why everything in Jerusalem seems to have that worn down look and why the banks around here close at 1:15 in the afternoon. The tellers have go home and take their naps after a long, productive 5 hour day. Sure, I'm all for siesta time, once major problems have been taken care of (like making sure that millions of feral cats aren't roaming around one's town). I, as a complete outsider whose opinion isn't worth a hill of beans, have an alternative to siesta time. Its called working your tuchas off like the rest of the modern world and actually having a semi-stable economy. Or if you're going to have siesta time, at least keep the grocery stores open later than 7:30 p.m.
Okay, that rant made me tired. I'm going to go take a nap.
Oh, if anybody knows where I can find a place to get an inexpensive haircut or a self-serve laundromat in Jerusalem, please let me know.
