Primaries, in Israel

TAGS:

Bibi, Running Scared

Next week will be the Likud Primaries for top spot, head of party.

It looks like Bibi Netanyahu is getting nervous, very nervous. He set high expectations of a "landslide," and the polls are predicting something else entirely. Feiglin is now expected to get at least a quarter of the vote. Danny Danon is running a very distant third. His hype is that he'll pull Bibi to the right, hah! He's the "next generation" and needs lots of experience. At least the Likud has a "next generation;" Labor doesn't.

Bibi was in Shiloh last week (when I was in NY) to campaign. I checked with neighbors about what he said, and there was nothing useful or relevant. Lots of platitudes about education and moving the fence to include a bit of southern Binyamin (our region.) He didn't condemn the fence or declare that he was against any withdrawal under any situation.

Since I still have Likud membership, I'll vote for Feiglin.

What makes you think Mr. Feiglin would do better than Bibi?  It looks more like a replay of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
