My name is Ben. I feel I need to get the truth out there. Our religion is at a stand still. We lose people on a daily basis. Why? Is it because we have considered ourselves great for so long, and become arrogant? Or possibly how much our religion is based around culture rather than faith? Face it, we are out of date. All of our great thinkers are gone, and our free interpretation gone with it. I have offended many people, Jewish and Christian alike, in expressing my ideas. Future blogs will portray these ideas. I have spent alot of time and energy researching our roots as a people. We have become soft. We have turned our faces to God, but our eyes away from Him. We see what he has done for us in the past, and praise His holy name. Why do we choose to look to the past when he is ever present in our lives. I am far from the perfect person. But i know i am not the only person who appreciates a nice sunset, a starry night, or a beautiful day. Those are gifts from our Lord. We need to praise his name for the beauty and majesty of the world, but even more important, the most important, valuable miracle of all, our ability to be alive. Praise him for not only that, but death as well/ Alot of people hate to hear it, but our God controls all that is good and all that is evil. He is all powerful. He existed when only dark did, and brought light to our existence. Why is that important? It is the most powerful verse in our scripture. He didn't truly create only light. He created ballance. Ballance is the ultimatum to all existance. If anyone has any questions on this, drop me a line. I love input, insight, opinions, and facts. This has been written from the heart and the eternal soul of the modern day, Jewish college student.
