Some mania is propelling millions of Americans to vote for a man who offers them nothing but cheap, soothing platitudes about some coming golden age of national unity while scapegoating unnamed foreigners and greedy rapacious capitalists for their troubles, and building up a frightening cult of personality around himself. Most of his friends seem to be anti-Semites, and those that aren't Jew-haters seek the violent overthrow of the government and the imposition of a new totalitarian order based on the leadership of some "Worker's Party."
We've seen this movie before, haven't we? Domestic terrorists attempt to set off a revolution in their country's "Second City"; are foiled but not vanquished; and bide their time. People, wake up. First they'll come for the capital gains --- and if you don't speak out because you're not a capital gain, who will speak out for you?
You know who else was for unity?

OK, now I get it
See my last post if you have questions about this post.

Me Too
But now you know why Costello needed Abbott, why Groucho needed Margaret Dumont. You've got to set it up before you deliver the punchline.

Is There an Estimated Time
When the joke will end? Ah, another law of comedy--probably birthed by Saturday Night Live. The more dope that is smoked, the longer the gag lasts. But by gosh I've just enjoyed the heck out of it.
Oh look, on the east coast it's already tomorrow. Fancy that. :-)

That is a disgusting and sad
That is a disgusting and sad image. To put Obama in even the same light as Hilter or a Nazi is unreal as he has done NOTHING remotely close to what Hitler did. They can not even be seen in the same category and for you to put them there shows that although you graduated from Yale, you gravely lack common sense and class.

That is disgusting and sad and racist
How about this: the same poster featuring David Ben-Gurion, Golda Meir, Ariel Sharon, and Moshe Dayan accompanied by an article on the Nakba.
Not so nice an image, don't ya think. But of course, you didn't.

Hmm...
I'm starting to think about taking this post down because we're getting late-drifting traffic that apparently isn't checking out the side links and realizing this was part of a satirical package we did about the ridiculousness of Hitler and Nazi comparisons. So, laying down the gauntlet a bit, if the next person to comment doesn't see what's going on (and really people, look at the sidebar..."Hitlery," John "Hitler" McCain, Barack "Hitler"....let's think for a second before we comment), then this sucker's coming down.

About your sidebar
Doesn't matter. I've read your "series" and Obama is the only one depicted as a Nazi. You call this satire (uh huh, sure), perhaps you should have done a better job of making that clear instead getting in a snit over the comments.
Daniel Koffler
Oh. My. God. "Hitlery" +
Oh. My. God. "Hitlery" + huge hitler pic ≠ depiction as a Nazi? Get the fuck outta here. Other people depicted as Nazis and/or Hitler as part of this package include Tom Friedman, John Bolton, Al Franken, Santa Claus, and Anthony Bourdain. The targets of the criticism this post expresses are a) Nazi-analogizers and b) people smearing Obama.
Um, I also think you're slightly confused about personal agenda. I've done more and better work than anybody out there defending Obama from the freak show slander campaign. Srsly. Stick around. Search the site a bit for "Obama" and "Koffler." Kthnxbai.

Obama, Malley, and Hamas
I think we should be asking more questions about Senator Obama's policy toward Israel. Sorry if this is long and boring, but I wanted to include the info and links for those who are interested.
Senator Barack Obama’s controversial foreign policy adviser, Robert Malley, has left Senator Obama’s campaign after a British newspaper revealed that Mr. Malley had been meeting privately with Hamas (5-9-08). Here are some links describing Mr. Malley’s relationship to Mr. Obama and Mr. Malley’s meetings with Hamas:

Here are some questions we should be asking Senator Obama concerning Robert Malley, Senator Obama’s foreign policy adviser who has just left the campaign (5-9-08) after a British newspaper revealed that Mr. Malley had been meeting privately with Hamas representatives.
(1) How did Mr. Malley become involved in your campaign and what was his roll?
(2) Your relationship with Mr. Malley has been a matter of public controversy for several months. How did you respond to this controversy? Did you speak with Mr. Malley or inquire about his views and activities?
(3) Who do you consider to be your primary foreign policy advisers?
(4) Which of Mr. Malley’s views do you agree or disagree with? Could you explain your position on these issues? Under what circumstances is it acceptable for an American citizen to meet with Hamas representatives?

Anyone who wrote a piece titled "Daniel Pipes Hates America'
like this delusional idiot did earlier this week is not to be taken seriously. And neither should this site be taken seriously on critical political issues. Their roster of Left leaning adolescents should confine themselves to the area they know best: the various subterannean and above-ground art scenes which occupy their lives.
Daniel Koffler
Hmm...
the various subterannean and above-ground art scenes
Wouldn't any art scene be either subterranean or above-ground? So, shouldn't this have just been written, "the art scenes"? Please correct.

Make that a double Hmmm....
Do you understand the meaning of Off-off Broadway, Off-Broadway and Broadway as it refers to the Theatre scene? No? Then your confusion is understandable. Yes? Then why the comprehension problem?
