Obama Endorsed by Hamas, Only Six Degrees from Hitler

Obama Endorsed by Hamas, Only Six Degrees from Hitler

Guilt by association time! In the Democratic debates in Philly Wednesday night, moderator George Stephanopoulos asked Barack Obama to explain his relationship to bomb-happy Weather Underground vet William Ayers. Obama visited the Ayers residence once in 1995, to attend a gathering at which his predecessor in the state senate announced that she was stepping down. He and Ayers also both served on the board of an anti-poverty non-profit (and you know what they say about people who served together on the boards of anti-povery non-profits, nudge nudge wink wink.)

Yesterday Slate’s Timothy Noah, frustrated by the pointlessness of this sort of attack, came up with a contest:

I will call my game Six Degrees of Adolf Hitler. Readers are invited to connect, via documented acquaintanceships—friendly or unfriendly—Der Führer with any one of the three remaining major presidential candidates. Whoever is able to connect a candidate to Hitler with the fewest number of "degrees," or steps, will be named the winner.

Later that day Stephen Colbert ventured his own version, linking Obama to Hitler in six steps via the Pope (watch the video below.)

Oh, come on: What more proof do you people need?Oh, come on: What more proof do you people need? Given the Obama-Ayers-Hitler axis of evil, I think it should be pretty clear to all of us that the Democratic candidate is a terrorist-loving, Nazi-supporting, gun-hating, religion-disdaining, arugula-eating, Bruce-Springsteen-listening elitist yuppie Muslim Black Panther. And perhaps that’s why Hamas has decided to endorse him.

Actually, the Hamas news suggests a new kind of political maneuver: the destructo-endorsement. What better way to derail your enemy’s credibility than by endorsing them, thereby forcing them to be affiliated (at least in the minds of people who don’t understand cause and effect) with your own ideology? I mean, wouldn’t it be bad news for Hamas if they were destructo-endorsed by a bunch of Jews? Like, um, this website?

Listen, Jewcy’s pretty free with its favors. We’re happy to damage the credibility of all sorts of organizations with an endorsement smackdown. Hamas is really just the beginning. So if you’ve got a group you’d like to see us destructo-endorse, leave a suggestion in the comments and we’ll start prepping the press release.

To be fair, I know Jewcy has endorsed Obama. I see that Jewcy is very vocal in its support of Obama. Yet, to be fair it is not simply Ayers. Look at the pattern and judge things openly. You have relationships with Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Dorhn and who knows who will be next. Obama claims that he had no idea for 20 years that Wright was saying the things he said, but he knew that Wright and the church we friends with L. Farrakhan and that the minister travel to Libya to support Ghaddafi.

What I am saying is that if you separated any of these things on their own you might be right about Obama, but in totality they add up to very bad judgment, the inability to discern the character of people you surround...

Secondly, Ayers is a proud domestic terrorist. It could be forgiven if he simply sat on a board with man, but he allowed Ayers to host his candidacy for office in Ayers and Dohrn's homes, which Obama willingly attended. What if instead of anti-government terrorists it were anti-abortion terrorists, would Jewcy be so fast to downplay the significance if it were any other candidate? Is it wrong for people to look at the total package of Obama and find that he is either dishonest, naive, or inept? Either way it seems that there is plenty of room to have doubt about the man.

P.S. Goodwin's law is in effect. Obama supporters are the first to bring in Nazis -therefore we know that they have no logical rhetoric to further their own case and must resort to the Nazi crutch.

Izzy is a trendy idiot.

"Obama visited the Ayers residence once in 1995, to attend a gathering at which his predecessor in the state senate announced that she was stepping down. He and Ayers also both served on the board of an anti-poverty non-profit (and you know what they say about people who served together on the boards of anti-povery non-profits, nudge nudge wink wink.)"

How do you get from this to Hamas?

The problem with Obama isn't just Ayers, whatever the truth about their association. It's about Obama's character. I doubt you would understand why that is so.

You sound like you have had a pretty nice life and that Jews hatred is to you either a myth or an historical issue that is no longer relevant.

Some people deny the Holocaust other deny antisemitism. They are both equally out of their shallow minds.

btw: I also suspect that you approve of Carter's visiting with Hamas' leadership. Yes and he will endorse Obama. Let's see how this plays itself out.

Weaver, I respect your point about anti-abortion terrorists: I would have a hard time with that. At the same time, I'd like to think that a person can set foot in someone's home without sharing their politics. I also simply don't believe that any of these relationships suggest that Obama as president would...well, what, exactly? Appoint "Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Dorhn and who knows who will be next" to his cabinet? Judgment is one thing, but "character" strikes me as a highly vague term -- something about which we can really only speculate. I mean, on a human level you and I know Obama about as well as the anonymous commenter above knows me.

Anonymous @ 4:35. Izzy is too nice to say this (and is entitled to a hearty laugh over being called an "idiot" by the likes of you), so I'll make the point instead. These sentences are key.

The problem with Obama isn't just Ayers, whatever the truth about their association. It's about Obama's character.

I agree. Regardless of the truth, small men with just enough balls to post anonymous  comments on websites will continue lying about Obama's character.

Wow! That "character" bs is the same justification Stephanopoulos came up with for his questioning the other night. And I thought all along "character" was just pretext for "not addressing real issues" (e.g. policy issues and other trivial matters). I must also be an idiot.

May I call you Izzy? Even if you take character out of the equation let us talk judgement. Obama is surrounded and has been surrounded by people that are troubling, especially to Jews that may not be socially liberal. Domestic terrorists, shady crooks, anti-Semites... These are not something to ignore. Look to the people he seeks advice from, these are the type of people that he WILL appoint. Power, Breshniski, and others are simply Carter retreads, nothing that most Jews want. I could care less about Obama's character, it is his judgement that is troubling.

Jeffrey Weaver,

You forgot Al Sharpton, whose record of
inciting hatred of white people and especially Jews is well known.
Obama posed arm in arm with him, and endorsed him and his National
Action Network in the highest terms. A Google search on "Sharpton" and
"Freddy's Fashion Mart" should tell people all they need to know about
this, and the same for "Tawana Brawley."

Obama also
solicited and obtained MoveOn.org's endorsement, which means there are
no circumstances under which I will vote for him--not even if the GOP
puts up Bush for a third term.

By the way, these are but one degree of separation, i.e. a direct connection.

on purpose. He is now a respected member of the Democratic party just like Jimmy Carter. Not that it matters. I do not see way to convince lefties to change their minds once made. After all we know, how anybody supports Obama is a testament to see no evil...Sometimes marxists win... Izzy was at least honest when she saw my point about  anti-abortion terrorists, I am just sorry that the point is lost because it has no impact. The left supports terror and excuses it. Carter with Hamas, Democrats with Weather Underground, PETA and various other fringe groups that resort to violence and threats. If consorting with unrepentant murderers like Ayers and Dorhn do not kill your candidacy, what will?
