Ten Seconds on St. Patrick's Day & Purim

Some years, St. Patrick's day and Purim coincide.

Both holidays are very festive, including traditions of frivolity and excessive drinking.

Ireland sounds similar to Iran, the modern name of the land of Persia, where the miracle of Purim took place.

There are no snakes in Ireland. There are no snakes in Israel.

There's the "luck of the Irish", and Purim means "lots" which is all about luck.
