In any case you set up a false premise when you imply that Jews need to care for all the world because they someday may need the help of the world.

Sorry, Dan, but there is no world out there keeping track of how much each group contributes. The claim that Jews need to be more universal is what aill ultimately destroying the community.

Such a tiny community as ours can't take care of all the world or even  a small fraction of it. We need to care for ourselves and those closest to us which in the US means help as best we can our neighbors who are in need.

It's just a fricking TV show.

Every people that has been a light upon the nations since ancient times were nationalistic peoples.

Who was more nationalistic then the Ancient Greeks, the Arabs, the French, the English, etc.

These have all acted for good and ill, as a light unto the nations.

No people can act coherently without the sense of itself as a "people" which is to say as a "nation," conscious of itself as different from other nations, which is the definition of nationalism.

that people should be asked to pick their own name and not fall back on Anonymous.

 It's use is a sign of laziness.
