I saw a headline about her relapse last week and I immediately decided to discard it from my consciousness like it was student loan bill.  I really hope she gets some help for her substance abuse but I'm no longer going to follow this calamity like its REALLY important.

I don't mind some of the songs on Mariah's album.  While I don't believe in the miracle of Christmas or celebrate it (though my family does which is an interesting situation to be face each year), I have to admit that some of the songs are beautiful (will I now be exempted from becoming a Jew?).  

I have in the past uttered the words "Fucking USA" to myself so I get where the songwriter was coming from...kinda.  If the USA is that bad then I believe the author(s) of this little ditty should colloborate with a better producer - say Timbaland - and get some real beats behind their lyrics; then maybe I'd take this as a proper insult against my Yankee values.

IMHO, sodomy is totes awesome.  It is however against what G-d wants (according to halacha) so I guess us homo/bi/queer men have to deal with having less pleasure in the bedroom - yeah right!

I think you should cancel.  If you have red flags going off in your head about this guy then you should take heed and run.  That is unless you are projecting some sort of dysfunction on the guy that doesn't exist for whatever reason.  I do have to say that meeting his "very best friends" on the second date does sounds a tad rushed.  I've been in that situation before and frankly it blows.  

I first saw him on Oprah and it was absolutely breathtaking to hear him sing.  For all of us who will be giving presents for the upcoming holidays, I believe his cd is something you can give to both your Jewish and Christian friends.
