Another liberal mikveh for Los Angeles? |

Apparently people are raising money for a facility along the lines of Boston's Mayyim Hayyim. See here for the L.A. Jewish Journal article and here for the press release (on PDF).
Good news! OTOH, L.A. already has a non-Orthodox mikveh at AJU, formerly the Univ. of Judaism. Technically AJU is a Conservative institution, so their mikveh isn't 100% "unaffiliated," but I can't see them turning, say, Reform converts away. I would be curious to hear from LACMEC, the newly minted Los Angeles Community Mikveh and Education Center, whether they have a specific problem with the AJU mikveh, or what needs they feel it isn't meeting.
