The Tragedy of 9/11

Stefan,

I would be very careful in saying One in five of your fellow citizens is completely bananas, and he votes. For
not only is this gender driven, it is also a well known fact that there
was much more to what happened in September of 2001. It was at this
time, I was in my senior year of high school, and signed up to join the
US Navy, of which I have completed 5 years no problem, and from a
political perspective, there was a lot more to the events of 9/11 than
meet the eye, and a lot more crazy scandal information than you would
find in a couple re-runs of Loose Change.
So before we go deciding for ourselves that conspiracy is only limited
to listening to Art Bell commentaries or conspiracy theories of David
Icke, we must first examine hard facts, and demand truth that carries
universal weight across the board.

I also urge you to read my post about this at: http://www.jewcy.com/node/11428

Responsa:

It gets me pretty pissed off when people go discrediting theories as to what really happened in September 2001. From a former veterans perspective, I can vouch that I signed up to support and defend, also apart of that was to begin a journey as to how these events actually happened. This was always a goal of mine to really make a solid conclusion as to why and how these horrible events happened on American soil.

Now I could ramble on all day about how it could of happened, who paid who, the motives involved, and supporting terrorist cell networks. However, without solid truth what does any of these things mean? I thought about these events more and more after viewing Loose Change, a set of videos my supervisor at work suggested I view. These videos, which portrayed the events of 9/11 being shadowed or buried in a sense under much useless media misinterpretations. It not only makes you look at the whole situation in a completely different light, but it proposes you to go and seek more of the truth that, in my opinion is still being masked to the American public about one of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil in known history.

To be utterly brief, it is not right of many people to call people like me a conspiracy theorist or paranoid, when that same law-biding American votes, and demands truth just as I. Where is the harm in knowing truth, or do you believe EVERYTHING you hear or see on most news networks today? I urge you to reconsider your assumptions, and seek the truth behind what people are saying and not to take everything you hear at face value, for even the 13th century Jewish philosopher Maimonides once said "“Do not consider it
proof just because it is written in books, for a liar who will deceive
with his tongue will not hesitate to do the same with his pen”
This also applies very much in terms of the media and society we live in today.

Stefan,

The only reply so far to my comments about 9/11 Truth is from a gentleman with concerns of his own about the official account of that day’s events. Marc Hessel writes that he has served in the U.S. Navy for five years and that “there was a lot more to the events of 9/11 than meet [sic] the eye.” He also encourages Jewcy readers to check out his post
on the subject, which begins, “It gets me pretty pissed off when people
go discrediting theories as to what really happened in September 2001.”

I can only assume that he means “ridiculing” and not “discrediting.”
The latter implies actually disproving these theories, as, for
instance, Popular Mechanics did when it published Debunking 9/11 Myths.

I’m a fan of conspiracy theories. I enjoy reading about them the same way that normal people enjoy watching shows like Blind Date.
Where the fun of a dating show lies in reminding oneself that he takes
a healthy approach to social interaction, the real fun of conspiracy
theories lies in reassuring oneself that he has a well-stropped Occam’s razor in his mental Dopp kit.

As I write this, Larry King is on my television interviewing a host of UFO buffs about some lights seen about two weeks ago above Stephenville, Texas. The Washington Post reports:

As expected, federal officials say there is a “logical explanation,”
such as light reflecting off passing planes, for the Jan. 8 incident.
But residents of this town, about 60 miles southwest of Fort Worth,
remain unconvinced. . . .

The
predictably dismissive response of the U.S. military, which has been
repeated in several news stories, should tip people off that these
“unidentified” objects might have some terrestrial, albeit no less
secret, provenance. Here we come to what I’ll call the human cost of
bullshit: the time and thought wasted picking apart the least likely
explanations of a particular mystery, be it UFOs or the collapse of
WTC-7. But crackpot theories about 9/11 are the worst, because they
encourage demonstrably intelligent people to tilt at windmills—or oil
rigs, if you like—when there are already ample flesh and blood enemies
to worry about. I wonder why Mr. Hessel, who is part of a real fight,
would find an imaginary one as appealing. I hope he’ll explain it more
thoroughly than his post does.

--

Me,

I will use assumption in the strongest sense. For me I don't find it
imaginary at all, and this is one 'conspiracy theory,' be it that I
support - even though much evidence is out there if any honest
Americans only took the time to research the factual evidence in the
days after these horrific acts.

Mr. Beck's claim that I am supporting an imaginary fight has me really
wondering what he himself considers to be real and fictional. As he has
said himself he even was interested in conspiracy theories and the
such, however I am not here to speak on such things because I do not
waste my time in such frivolous pursuits of wasted words on events that
are not supported with official documentation. However, not to say that
what Mr. Beck may or may not have read concerning were true or false.

He points out that the fight I fought in the US Navy was one of which
was true. Let me begin asking Mr. Beck what is the nature upon why we
are fighting to begin with in Iraq? What is the 'very real' fight that
you claim I have fought? What is the war on terrorism, outside the
parameters of what happened on September 11, 2001? And lastly let me
direct first my attention towards this reference.

To begin I must point out what my contention is on this 'real battle,'
in which I have fought. First its a battle everyday as a Jewish member
of the armed forces, to try my best to eat kosher, or engage myself in
what little Jewish events I can find. Secondly, beyond the nature of my
personal religious beliefs, one of the real wars I have fought is being
a puppet along with a puppet-show for the US Navy to try and convince
their host nations that we still have one once of human decency left.
If anything I hate/dislike more is the nature of deep-rooted lies, the
kind that are not easily visable, but the ones you really have to dig
for, like America putting on its happy-go-lucky face for everyone else,
without one string of genuine concern for other nations of lesser
degree than our own.

So why all this time spent with the military you may ask? Simply put, I
honestly wanted to do something good that would make a greater impact.
And momma wasn't couldn't pay for a college education herself, on a
single mother income. I continue to be proud of what I have done and
sacrificed for in order to do so. Mind you that I was enlisted for the
Navy months before the events of 9/11, the tragedies only increased my
rage against such infidels as the Al-qaeda or even more eastern, the
Hamas. I feel the real war in which you see through the media is
diametrically different from the vantage point of a soldier or sailor
for that matter. Also know that with every service branch, they have
their own agendas for fighting terrorism, whether its putting up a
front of lies to psychologically convince others of our goodness or
killing everyone else besides the ones who are directly responsible for
acts of terrorism.

RE: But crackpot theories about 9/11 are the worst, because they

rigs, if you like—when there are already ample flesh and blood enemies
to worry about.

You make a valid point, there are a lot of 'crackpot' theories out
there, however because my being enlisted, I did not take the events of
9/11 lightly at all, especially not to be so blind as to get caught up
in some hogwash bullshit. I really shouldn't have to explain myself any
further, fact is if you yourself want answers you have to get them,
there is circumstantial, hard evidence out there, find it. After 2 of
my friends perished in these tragedies, its been a long pursuit of mine
that there are many more missing pieces from the intelligence agencies
on down. If you are willing to talk about this off-site I will be more
than willing, however I am not going to make this a debate session
about something that should be left alone - in the past, so that we all
might move on. Also I encourage you to read for your 'conspiracy
theorist' taste this tidbit which I honesty believe has a lot of hardened consistency in keeping true to what really happened on 9/11.

Kindest regards,

-M
