Isaac Lamb, an actor from Oregon, proposed to his girlfriend Amy Frankel last week with a very public lip-synced performance of Bruno Mars’ song, “Marry Me” (spoiler alert: she says yes). The now-viral video has been viewed more than five million times on YouTube, and Mars himself even tweeted about it.

Lamb’s version is pretty faithful to the original lyrics, with one major change: instead of asking, as Mars does, “Is it the look in your eyes, or is it this dancing juice?” he helpfully asks: “Is it the look in your eyes, or is it these dancing Jews?” as several tallit-clad dancers traipse by Frankel, seated in the back of a moving car (for all we know, this is actually a genius Honda marketing campaign).

While we here at Jewcy appreciate Lamb’s improvisational spirit and have certainly also been known to find dancing Jews distracting, we probably would have gone with something more like, “Is it the look in your eyes, or is it those Danzig Jews?” Or even, “Is it the look in your eyes, or is it this Daily Jewce?”

Just saying.
