Okay, I’m not sure that this qualifies as “faith” hacking.  And I realize that in posting this, I’m entering the mommy-ghetto forever.  But I’m an honest person, and I have to admit that I got really excited about these stupid magnets, purchased ostensibly for my one year old son, Mose.

“Mose” loves them.  By which I mean, I love them.  Mose just loves to eat them.

But truly, they kick ass, because suddenly I find I’ve reactivated the part of my brain that used to know some Hebrew.  Which is amazing, how you can trigger the part of your brain you used to use, and it will bring back all sorts of ideas and memories with it (kind of like when people get stoned and suddenly they can’t stop reciting lines from the Simpsons).

But seriously, now I find myself thinking words I’d forgotten I knew, and humming songs from Hebrew school.  Also, I catch myself  trying to spell out transliterated English words (i.e. the grocery list), just to see if I can remember what sound each letter makes.  Can you spell “Cherry Yogurt” using the aleph bet?

And if you dig these (you’re a dork like me, and…) you’ll also enjoy these dumb things too!  C’mon folks, it’s a cool gift or a party favor… and sooooo edu-taining!
