In the spirit of National Poetry Month (and the fact that it’s a Monday morning), we present ten videos by one of the greatest living poets, Mr. Leonard Cohen.

10. Len, a khaki coat, some feedback and "Suzanne" played on the Isle of Wright in 1970.  All you need is some boxed wine and you have the best Friday night ever.

9. There are approximately six hundred billion covers of Cohen’s "Hallelujah." Some say that Jeff Buckley’s version is the best, but we’re here to say that those people are wrong. Former Velvet Underground member Cale’s version of the song is the finest cover of a Cohen song we can think of.

8. But nobody does it better than the man himself.

7. Is there any musician you can think of that can cover an anthem written for The French Resistance and be taken 100% seriously other than Cohen? If you answered "The Decemberists" you can leave now.

6. Cohen doing "Sisters of Mercy" in Tel Aviv, 1972. Sublime.

5. I don’t think this one needs any explanation.

4. Yom Kippurcore

3. "Story of Isaac" live in ’85

2. Possibly one of the saddest, most beautiful songs ever written.

1. "Prayer for Messiah"
