Does the most important Jew in American government like bands like Neon Indian and Washed Out?  Does the Chief of Staff do his best work listening to music associated with the genre "Chillwave", coined by popular blog Hipster Runoff.

Emanuel told one of our Jewcy insiders: "chillwave is pretty much all I listen to these days," he said while going into a Wilco concert.  "I was into stuff like No Age and Wavves," he went on to say, "but that stuff is soooo aggro."  Emanuel, usually known for his harsh language and poor sense of style, has been undergoing something of a public softening as of late; no doubt an attempt by the White House to calm the flames over his recent "retard" remark, which drew the wrath of Sarah Palin.

When our insider asked Mr. Emanuel if he was "the oldest hipster alive," Emanuel stuck his head out the backstage door and asked: "don’t you read Gawker?  You are supposed to say fauxhemian now."

Of course we’d love this to be true, but it’s not.  Except the Wilco thing.
