  • The family of Oscar Grant, an unarmed man who was shot and killed by BART police in San Francisco on New Year’s Day, is suing Bay Area Rapid Transit for wrongful death. They’re seeking a $50 million settlement.
  • Britney Spears has returned to the stage after a five-year touring hiatus. "The Circus" – the name of her tour, not an alternate description of her life – kicks off in New Orleans, in Britney’s home state of Louisiana, tonight.
