travel in israel

hi, i'm wondering if anyone here has any advice about traveling to the dead sea...i have heard that driving is iffy, especially if one isn't good with maps.

Driving to the Dead Sea

Driving to the Dead Sea is super easy and a very comfortable (and beautiful) drive. Have fun.... although you probably already went!

Boats in the Dead Sea

I remember our tour guide, Michal Enov, explaining to us that no one can leave their boats in the dead sea, because the salt just eats through the hull. Then I remember looking at the water and seeing a boat moored to an anchor a little ways out in the sea. Stupid lying tour guides...

travel to israel/dead sea

Definitely a worthwhile trip to go to the Dead Sea. It will make a memory for you along with a trip to the top of Masada nearby.

I am going with my family this summer.
We are spending 3 nights 4 days in Tel Aviv including going to Opening Game for The Israel Baseball League, going to beach, going to Tiberias, going to Rosh Hanikra ( caves) and artists colony Safed from there. Four nights nad five days in Jerusalem. One of those days from Jerusalem we will go to Masada/Dead Sea. We will also go to Yad shem, Israel Museum, Old City. There is so much to do in Jerusalem and from Jerusalem, including the Dead Sea trip.
