What: Kabbalistic erev Rosh Hashanah services

Where: The OneTaste Urban Retreat Center, 1074 Folsom Street
Why: Rabbi Alyjah Navy of the Ayn Sof Kabbalah Community wants you to renew your spirit and transform your world in the coming year. All adult, spiritual seekers are welcome to participate in meditation, reflection, chant, and mystical wisdom with a special erev Rosh HaShanah service.

Where: Java Beach Café, 1396 La Playa Street (at Great Highway)
Why: Not into the Kabbalah thing, but still want something groovy? Join the San Francisco JCC and Reboot for their take on Tashlich. You'll meet at Java Beach Cafe at 5:00 pm before heading out to Ocean Beach where you'll stop to ask forgiveness from others, from a higher power and from yourself. Afterwards—around 7pm—you'll all rendezvous at Park Chalet (downstairs at the Beach Chalet) to continue the conversation and eat, drink, and be merry.
The Hipster: Way too Cool for Hebrew School
What: Klezmer brunch with Kugelplex

Why: Any Jewish San Francisco hipster worth his weight in gelt is down with Kugelplex. With an album titled "Ceci n'est pas Klezmer" and a Sunday residency at the Revolution Cafe, these new world klezmers making old world music bring the party to the people.
The Beshert Seeker: Something Old, Something Newish, Something Borrowed, Something Jewish
What: Blue Monday Happy Hour

Where: Whisper Ultra Lounge, 535 Florida Street, San Francisco
Why: Raise a glass to a happy and healthy 5768 with the Young Adults Division of the San Francisco Jewish Community Federation. Mingle with several hundred cute Jewish professionals, try the hors d’ouevres, and drink up.
The Nouveau Jew: Better Late Than Never?
What: High Holy Days Crash Course

Why: Want a little extra guidance as you prepare for and navigate the High Holy Days? Rabbi Elisheva Salamo, Jewish Programs Manager for the San Francisco Jewish Community Center, is offering a special crash course called "Preparation for the High Holy Days." The Alterna-parent: Day Care and Dinner Parties
What: JCF of the Greater East Bay's 4th Annual PicnicFest
