Holy American Jewry, Batman!
What if the Caped Crusader worked in the American Jewish community?
This summer’s superhero movies have been godawful, but the next Batman sequel doesn’t come out until July 2008. Luckily, Eli Valley dreamed up a preview. Get your popcorn ready, then click the thumbnail below.

Eli Valley is finishing his first novel.

Awesome

I found this article to be the most original, brilliant, compelling and deliciously funny satire since Police Academy 6.

Just wanted to be the first to say that before that other douche bag did. ;)

I actually thought this was frickin' brilliant. Nice job. Even though you are bashing the panicked American Jewish leadership, Jewcy can now use this to show how edgy their work is to all the Jewish philanthropists they're trying to fundraise from. Because of course, edgy equals endogamy! Oh, the irony.

Eli Valley is an evil genius

Eli's brilliant cartoons are becoming my favorite part of Jewcy. I find myself looking forward to what he's going to do next. I hope the fawning from his hordes of fans gives him comfort when he is burning in hell for all eternity.

Wait?

I sat with gentiles yesterday. Where's my sex?

Thank you Thank you

This will be mandatory reading for my students this fall. A wonderful way to help combat the Birthright Israel-induced paranoia that they all seem to return to school with. It is already on my office door.

But wait, what is the novel that you have just completed?

h.

disturbing...but funny

this is the best Batman comic i've ever read.

Clever.

Very clever-ish. But Jewcy's general preoccupation with taking on the 'establishment' is stale. Not that I disagree with the points in it, but this on the heels of the Werthheimer/Kurtzman conversation is redundant. I wonder if there's not other material you all could examine besides shouting over and over again your defiance of the institutions that have to a large extent (but not totally) defined American Jewry; the zealous repetition is beginning to have the feel and tone of an unsophisticated adolescent rebellion and the institutions you're taking on are becoming proverbial straw men.

Finally, an ironic

Finally, an ironic Batman/robin strip without any homo-neurotic riffs.
As a recovering self-hating mick, may I wish you a spicky re-educational requirement to be mailed at it's earliest completion.

Mandatory Judaism

My children, as humans and citizens of the world, have both rebelled against the kind of Jews-first zealotry that tries to prescribe who they are and what they need to do with their lives. It is an approach to living that drives away as many people as it entices, I think.

Observant Jews don't

Observant Jews don't intermarry. Oncommitted Jews do. No loss.

Imagine

Imagine all the people, living for the day...

John Lennon.

Johnny?

A Jewish kid named John? No wonder he wants to sit with the Gentiles.

Anonymous

why not John?

what's so strange about "gentile" names? many jews (especially those coming to america)
changed their names (often to the most waspish-sounding ones) for a variety of reasons.

when i meet a jew with an obvious anglo name, i usually ask them what their real name was before
they emigrated.

Hi, I'm one of the gentiles

Hi, I'm one of the gentiles who maried a Jew. As Kinky Friedman, once said, he's "not a practicing Jew , he thinks he's perfect already." AS for sex, well, apparently Jewish men do get too old...

Another gentile

IIRC, a certain group of MADmen have plowed this ground before (albeit with less sharp a blade); it was called "Bat Boy and Rubin", but I can't find the reference--well, this is close:
