Eugenics

I think the "gene discussion" is hard for various reasons.  As genetics was used to demonize Jews and uplift the Aryan not long ago.  Images of Jimmy the Greek dance in my head as well regarding African-Americans.

Having said that,  I definitely believe it feasible that people of Ashkenazic descent have a high IQ.  During my wife's pregnancy, I had to be concerned with Cystic Fibrosis because of my genetics.  Not because it is in my family for the three generations I know of, but because of my genetic ancestors.

So, why would it be different for intelligence, physicality, etc.  Granted, for the anonymous poster (who apparently isn't of Ashkenazic descent), it does need to be stated that it doesn't mean all people of Ashkenazic descent are intelligent.  There also is an environmental factor to consider as well.  Genes allow for predisposition, environment allows for formation.
