Fabo Insights - especially about memory

I always thought that African Americans deserved to create for themselves a ceremony dealing with their struggles that parallels the significans that the Passover ritual for Jews. But then again, since one can easily argue that they never left the place of their opression - Hebrews left Egypt - African Americans didn't get up & go, it may be inappropriate. I'd love to hear some thoughts out there on this one...
