Yo, I've been living here for a year now and I can tell you that like most places in the world, Israel has it's share of pricks.  Most of them happen to work in the government or in the police department.

Israel is an amazing place and most of the people are amazing people.  If you haven't visited here DO SO NOW!  Don't let anyone freighten you into thinking it's not safe either - they're probably idiots who have never even been here before.
