If fifty students or faculty or employees or visitors in those Virginia Tech buildings had guns, permits, and proper training (as promulgated by the NRA and other groups), the murderer would have failed in his mission to kill thirty-two people.

If any of you had been in those classrooms or hallways and had been saved by an average citizen who was armed and properly trained and had used his or her weapon to stop Cho, you would be grateful for his or her preparations and actions to save your life. You would be pro-gun for the rest of your life.
