You are trying to express a large chunk of the blindingly obvious in a language into which it does not easily or usefully translate. It is unnecessary to bother Leviticus to find good reason to control the availability of lethal weapons to the general population of the US, it's not as if these objects were made by supernatural forces. And you're already doing it: People can't start up nerve gas factories over there (it would be illegal even in texas I believe) so it's just a measure of regulation of a section of the economy. Eradicating retail firearms would be an obvious start. There will be a huge pool of rusting guns for many years, it's hardly going to be cold turkey...
