Picking on the music

Okay, I'll give you that the BYs have some, uh, challenges for parents forced to sit through an episode ("Dad, will you PLEASE watch with me?"), but we have to at least throw a bone to old Evan Lurie (of "Trees Lounge" fame, but perhaps, more importantly, according to IMDB, of "Homo Heights" and "Office Killer" notoriety). After all, Evan was the keys man behind New York's greatest fake jazz band, the Lounge Lizards. So old Tasha, Uniqua, Penguino and the Moose can't be all bad. Gotta give Nelvana credit (does anyone produce children's television BESIDES Nelvana any more?) for finding a legit maestro to pen the tunes ... don't you?
