I recommend reading "Eve and Adam: Genesis Revisited" and some of the hermanuetics. Not only has the Bible been corrupted, but the interpretation has been too. Often used by those in power to justify their own sins, the Bible is not an untarnished authority.
I truly hope you consider taking a theology course, possibly an unbiased one. Maybe explore world religions, an introductory anthropology course. I'm apalled by your bucolic ignorance.
