Evangelicals and Jews

Evangelicals' complex feelings about Jews and Judaism is a recurring
theme in Rapture Ready. This excerpt explores one aspect of that. But
even if you only read this one excerpt, I don't see how you can say
that I'm implying that the attitudes found in this Passion play are
representative of anything but this Passion play, with its specific
historical roots, which I was careful to point out. Where in this
section do you see me even suggesting that all evangelicals think this
way?

Indeed, I am ultimately more concerned about the
evangelical tendency toward philo-Semitism, for reasons too complicated
to get into here.

For that matter, I did not say, or believe,
that the individuals who participate in this play are "unthinking
rednecks who hate Jews." I hope that's not what most people got out of
this.
