As an evangelical, I agree with much of your critique of ridiculous evangelical practices such as this. However, I think you've missed the point in the whole thing. Jesus was a Jew. All of the 12 disciples were Jews. Most of the early church was a "Jewish" church. If we hate Jews, then we in turn hate our covenant family, and our own Messiah! Yes, the religious Sanhedrin helped to crucify Christ because he threatened their power, but to assume that all evangelicals are unthinking rednecks who hate Jews and use passion plays to support their ire (which you seem to do) is neither fair nor right. its ironic that you seem to display the same ignorance which you cast on the ignorant dupes of the passion play.
