The Deconstruction of Chicken Little

So you've got an MA in Philosophy good for you. But when it comes down to it, this is much ado about nothing. Sure, Disney is out there pimping relationships as commodities, but that is what they have done since Boomers were watching Chip and Dale. I'm sure Foucault would tell you there was some gay subtext to it, or some other nonsense, and I'm sure you can find master/slave relationships in the Three Stooges along with a healthy dose of the African trickster figure. But it doesn't matter because I seriously doubt that children will be influenced by this crap.

Hell, I listened to Starland Vocal Band in the sixth grade and I didn't know what they were talking about. I didn't suddenly think: "Hmmmm, it's after lunch and according to Starland Vocal Band I need me some afternoon delight!"

Lord of the Flies did not make me want to form a tribe and attempt to rule an island through cruelty and deceit. It was gym class that made me want to do that..

I think the child is more likely to inherit the behaviors of the parent than to be brain-washed by Disney.
