Thanks again for your further response. I would disagree, however, with your line of reasoning. When you say "if he (Barak) wrongly blamed them then they should not have been blamed," for instance. Indeed, Barak's version of events was quite wrong, and thus his specific blame of the Palestinians. That's all I stated. That does not exclude the very substantial and significant blame Arafat and other Palestinian leaders are culpable for, and had I actually been writing about CD2, I would have elaborated on this, as I have at length in the past (see http://mitchellplitnick.com/2007/02/21/the-myth-that-stays-with-us-camp-david-2000/ for example, though I hasten to add that I've updated my views, based on new information, since I wrote that piece over a year ago).

In any case, we are just quibbling and you make it quite plain that the wording did not get the intended message across and thus your point is well-taken.
