I was responding specifically to Wendy's post, which I otherwise enjoyed. She made the claim that historically speaking, it wasn't surprising that America would vote for an African-American man before women precisely because African-American men received voting rights before. And I took issue with her point as being both ahistorical and at the least poor logic. But please, feel free to label someone as a sexist rather than rationally debate a point. That REALLY does a service to the movement that you purport to belong to.
